Our Burning Questions

Tell us about your business. How did the idea to become a hypnotherapist come about?

I started my hypnotherapy studies after retiring from a thirty-year nursing career. I observed firsthand at how integral one's attitudes and belief systems were interwoven into their state of health and quality of life. I had been studying mind-body medicine and numerous healing techniques for decades and wanted to incorporate these techniques, along with Life Coaching, into a new career which is why I became fascinated by hypnotherapy. Initially, I focused on medical hypnosis but became even more intrigued by helping clients explore their deeply held beliefs. Discovering and then helping a client to reframe and transform their limiting beliefs, is essential to help them achieve optimal wellness.

I am continuously amazed at the unbounded potentials and possibilities within the art of Hypnotherapy. My current focus is to facilitate Soul Journeys through quantum hypnosis, regression and interlife states, all of which helps people to discover their life path and their soul's evolution.

What are the highlights and low-lights of being an Hypnotherapist?

The highlights are bearing witness to a client's transformation and also to facilitate a person's optimal state of wellbeing. This is achieved by helping them to reframe their limiting beliefs and/or helping them explore their higher states of consciousness through Soul Journeying.

The lowlights are accepting that everyone's journey happens on their own timeline. One's willingness, and openness to take a deep dive into exploring consciousness can't be rushed or forced.

What is your favorite method for relaxing your client? (i.e., Progressive Relaxation, Elman Fractionation etc.)

I typically use a progressive relaxation while enhancing the auric field and opening the chakras. I facilitate a client's connection to the higher realms while simultaneously grounding them with the earth energies.

What is your special focus in Hypnotherapy? (i.e., Phobia, Habit, Stress, Coaching) What do you love about it?

My primary focus is to facilitate a Soul Journeys exploration with clients to help them understand their soul's mission in their current lifetime. The Life Between Lives process provides powerful insights as to how and why their significant others are part of their Soul Tribe. The shifts that clients experience when they gain deep insights about their journey in this lifetime is profound.

Have you experienced burnout? If so, what methods do you use to spark your passion?

I've never experienced burnout but have noticed that my work just seems to shift focus when my curiosity guides me in another direction. The wondrous aspect about being a hypnotherapist is that there are endless avenues of exploration.

If you started your hypnosis business again, what things would you do differently?

I started out with a focus on medical and general hypnotherapy. If I were to start over, I would have just focused on a niche area instead of also offering general hypnotherapy. I also would offer more packages to entice people to continue with their healing journey.

What valuable advice would you give new hypnotists starting out?

Practice on as many people as possible and continue to study a variety of techniques. There are fantastic hypnotherapists with a variety of unique techniques that will enhance and help refine your particular style. Also, use the technology available especially YouTube videos of your techniques.

What 3 books do you feel were instrumental in your development as an hypnotherapist?

My 3 favorite hypnotherapists are Charles Tebbits, Dolores Cannon, and Michael Newton. Each have multiple books to explore. I also love Alba Weinman's techniques which are abundant on YouTube.
